Join us at a devolution pop-up event

A series of pop-up events for residents to share their views about devolution is taking place across Cheshire and Warrington.

The three councils across Cheshire and Warrington – Cheshire East, Cheshire West and Chester, and Warrington – are continuing to work on securing a devolution agreement.

The events are an opportunity to gather valuable insights and feedback about what a devolution agreement could mean for the area and to hear from local people, communities and businesses about what matters most to them.

Come along to one of our local events this weekend to find out more about what devolution could mean for Cheshire and Warrington:

Northwich Artisan Market – Saturday, 10 May, 10am-4pm, Witton Street

Warrington Makers Market – Sunday, 11 May, 11am-4pm, Time Square

This is a great opportunity to find out more about devolution and talk to us about what your ideas are for a better future for our area and its residents, communities and businesses.

Cllr Louise Gittins, Leader of Cheshire West and Chester Council and Cllr Hans Mundry, Leader of Warrington Borough Council said:

"These community pop-up events are a great opportunity for residents to have their voices heard and to play an important role in shaping the future of Cheshire and Warrington. We will use this feedback as we work with government to develop the best devolution agreement for our area.
“We are committed to ensuring that a devolution agreement reflects the needs and aspirations of our residents, communities and businesses. We encourage you to come along and share your views."

Everyone is welcome to attend. There is no need to register for these events, just come along while also visiting your local market.

These events follow an initial community pop-up, which took place at Knutsford Makers Market in Cheshire East on Sunday 4 May, where over 100 market visitors and local business owners stopped to have a conversation about devolution and share their views.
